FSWP and FSTP candidates can finally receive ITAs for the purpose of Canadian permanent residence. That’s because Canada on 8th July 2020 conducted an all-program Express Entry draw and previously such a draw was held only on 4th March 2020, which was right before the infamous epidemic of COVID-19. This draw included Federal Skilled Worker Candidates too! It issues 3900 ITAs at a minimum cut-off CRS score of 478!
The Express Entry draws held during the pandemic only focused on PNP and CEC candidates, which resulted in FSWP and FSTP candidates being overlooked. This is because CEC candidates were most likely to be in Canada while PNP candidates were too vital for Canadian provinces.
This draw issued exactly the same number of ITAs which were issued in the lastly held all-program Express Entry round, i.e. 3900 ITAs. This was the 22nd Express Entry round conducted this year, which brings the summative number of ITAs issued to 53800 in the year 2020! 478, the minimum required CRS score in this round, was 7 points more in comparison with the previously held all-program Express Entry round, which had a minimum required CRS score of 471.
The superior CRS cut-off score this time has been a criterion for FSWP candidates. This express entry round extended ITAs to contenders with such CRS scores which would’ve otherwise facilitated them with an ITA in the months prior to the pandemic. IRCC functions under the purview of 6 standard processing months for permanent residence applications.
